The Italian Prime Minister's office announced on 14 May 2026 that EdgeConneX will build three data centre campuses in the Lombardy region by 2031, totalling more than 300 MW, with EUR 3bn of direct investment. Individual sites were not named; industry minister Adolfo Urso initially cited EUR 6bn before the PM's office clarified the direct figure as EUR 3bn. Coordinates are the Lombardy/Milan reference point, not a plot.
