The Ivorian government gave approval on 16 July 2026 to a US$170m programme by US firm Cybastion, financed by the US Export-Import Bank, covering a sovereign national data centre, a government digitisation platform and a smart border surveillance system, delivered in partnership with Cisco. No site or capacity was disclosed; coordinates are placed at Abidjan pending a named location.
